Joseph Durando had a pretty good life until he turned 14. Joseph became overwhelmed with the seemingly endless deaths occuring in his family. Unfortuanatly, Joseph looked to drugs to help ease the pain. What started out as a rare and casual ritual soon became a daily crave. Smoking, drinking and popping pills became the everyday norm. He would wake up and have an eye opener, come back from school have some more, and pop pills on the side. Over the course of months, Joseph saw what he had become and decided to quit once and for all. While going through withdrawl symptoms, he expressed his feelings via poems. These poems eventually became songs when applied to beats, and he started off his music career. Dementia now performs monthly in New York City.
