Nomadic- An unsigned, ambitious, dedicated, and motivated emcee. Nomadic was born as Juan Lopez on August 4th, 1987 in Porterville, California. Nomadic recognized the struggle at the age of nine when his father passed away, leaving the family with financial difficulties. Raised amongst poverty, a background of family gang affiliation, and in a low-income neighborhood, Nomadic has been writing his own lyrics since the age of 15. Nomadic found it very difficult being raised by a single mother and dealing with everyday struggle in poverty. As Nomadic started his local reputation, there was not much support for the young rapper. In his viewpoint his town consisted of many haters and under estimators. Nomadic was in the merge of giving up his inspiration to write lyrics on several accounts, but he has been motivated back to the game somehow. Feb. 24, 2004, set the step-stone to Nomadic’s career with the release of his first production, “Nomadic Presents United M.C.s Mixtape Vol. 1.” The mixtape went on to sell 200 copies locally, creating a buzz and recognition for the young emcee. Following his mixtape release he was then featured on a 2005 issue of “Music Connection Magazine,” under the ‘demo critique’ section for his 2005 3-track Demo. Nomadic received praise for his strong tracks, and his developing craft, illustrating his potential. Nomadic recently released his first solo mixtape, “Project Empathy Volume 1,” on August 9th, 2007. The mixtape has had 2 singles released, “Ideology,” produced by Devine Sounds, and “Jean Grae,” a track where Nomadic delivers a lesson about love to the listener. Nomadic has been traveling through California to promote the release his mixtape. Nomadic has worked with numerous underground emcees, ranging from many local artists in his area to artists overseas. Most listeners would agree that Nomadic delivers his unique sound on tracks. Some fans have found Nomadic holding a slight resemblance to a delivery similar to Joe Budden, and an offbeat flow similar to that of Talib Kweli. Nomadic is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music Industry and Technology with an emphasis in Music Industry at California State University, Chico. As a Music major, Nomadic is advancing his knowledge and awareness in the music business, developing the skill and expertise to run a successful record label, and sharpening his skills as an emcee.
