Girls Don't Cry is Hannah on guitar, Liz on drums, Caitlin on bass, Sora on lead guitar, and Rachael on keyboards. All girls sing! The band combines a polished, tight pop sound with a powerful rock edge. Catchy five-part vocals, retro synths and dance grooves are the foundation of GDC's sound. The five girls landed in New York City to pursue musical careers coming from New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York, Iowa, and Texas. Over the past 2 years the band has recorded a dozen songs, played venues including the Mercury Lounge, the Knitting Factory, The Cutting Room, Pianos, The Bitter End, and Arlene's Grocery, appeared on NYC's #1 rated evening radio talk show The Joey Reynold's Show and played at Bryant and McCarren park.
