In 2004, Singer/Songwriter Matthew Green recorded and released his debut 'The Whiplash of Memory'. An intimate collection of songs written while living in New York City. After moving back to his home of the Philadelphia area, he's moving in a new direction. With 'Of My Tribe', Green returns with a set of songs that while still personal, broaden the scope sonically and lyrically. Possessing an unconventionally distinctive and passionate voice with vivid and immediate lyrics, 'Of My Tribe' explores a homecoming both figurative and literal. Matthew performs regularly in the Philadelphia and New York music scenes and with the NY Singer/Songwriter Sessions at such legendary venues as CBGB's and The Bitter End. 'The Subway Song' (a fan favorite from 'Whiplash') has been featured on various podcasts, including C.C. Chapman's U-Turn Cafe, which was broadcast on Sirius Satellite Radio.
