Why the Music?

The reason and love of music behind Nicolette's music...  Firstly thank you for taking the time to come to this site and listening.  Any comments on the performance, vocal and lyrical content would be greatly appreciated . 

My music in general tries to cover the more serious topics as well as the general lovey dovey lyrics. Each of the songs chosen within the Woozyfly shot were in order to portray different music at the same time as hopefully having a hook that people will go away humming.  Here's a little history behind the songs.

Give It Away is written specifically about sexually transmitted diseases, one evening I went into a club were I perform to visit the manager to be told by him that he had contracted AIDS by having unprotected sex.  Despite that fact that these things are so advertised it is still something that people seem to be complacent about after a night of drink and when the desire over comes the mind. I would like to think that my song makes people sit back and listen without feeling they are having a lecture and hopefully they will think twice the next time they are in a situation that may lead to the important choice they have to make...

Catch Me is written about despair and someone feels they can't go on. With nothing left homeless, penniless, alone they make one last attempt. With the final call to anyone that will listen as they are falling into the abyss this is the desperate request  to help before ending it.  Sometimes every small action or smile can change the way that someone feels about life itself.

Criminal Mind despite the title is most probably one of the more positive and uplifting song out of the bunch ;-)

This is about the effect of attraction, love, lust and how criminal it is that sometimes you can't control... I'm sure everyone knows about the first crush or someone that you just can't get out of your head. Need I say more.....???

On a scale of 1 - 10 Free is the the most ideal song about love, what we wish for and how someone else in your life can create perfection...
