RewBee - The Jewel of NYC

RewBee is a female fronted Alternative Rock band which features Rew aka Black Flamingo as lead vocals/rhythm guitar. RewBee's music is retro in sound with comparisons to 'Early X with a NYC edge' and 'Blondie'. The lyrics by Rew and subject matter are timeless always thought provoking. Live the band is pure fun, with uptempo songs and positive messages, fans are assured a good time and leave with a smile on their face. Backing Rew is lead guitarist, songwriting partner Bee. In addition to it's core members of Rew and Bee currently on bass is D (G-spot) and Jovan on Drums.

RewBee was formed in the summer of 2007, both met at David Knights Music Talks Sessions. Bee asked if Rew needed a guitarist, they performed unrehearsed at a lower east side bar called Bar 169 and the rest is history.

RewBee immediately set up an indie label entitled Ragamuffin Recordz to help promote and distribute both their collaborative works and individual releases. RewBee performs as both a duo and with a full band in around the NYC and tri-state area. In the fall of 07 RewBee was part of the 7th annual Girls Rock and Girls Rule tour which consisted of a 9 city NE regional tour. RewBee earned critical acclaim and now has it's sites on recording it's first offical CD entitled 'RewBee - The Jewel of NYC'. Expected release is summer of 2008.

RewBee continues to write and perform. With the help of Ragamuffin Recordz RewBee is seeking licensing and publishing opportunities.
